Question:
I need help with design style in a guest bedroom. It is a very small room. I plan to order the Camden headboard in one of the linen fabrics. There are many to choose from. I would like a color palette of Spa Blue/Linen/Taupe Beige between the bedroom and on-suite bath. Please advise on a fabric choice and color for the walls.
I have the small Terrific Trio Table (no topper yet) and could use a suggestion for it as well. I have swatches of the Danish Linen Oatmeal, Hemp Linen, and Danish Linen Natural fabrics. The carpet in the room is a neutral beige taupe. There are plantation shutters (white) along one wall and a 20″ TV mounted on the wall (cords will be hidden). Currently the wall has one coat of white primer (attempting to cover a bold red). Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Angela
Answer:
Dear Angela,
Sounds like you are well on your way to a beautiful guest bedroom. We love the soothing and subtle combination you are suggesting. So with that in mind, here are some of our suggestions.
We would love to see the walls painted a soft spa blue called Waterscape SW6470, which is a Sherwin Williams paint. Have you considered our Natural Linen fabric for the Camden Headboard? We think it will really make a statement without overtaking the size of the room. We love our Ashanti fabric for the Terrific Trio Tablecloth and a couple of pillow shams for the bed. Repeat the Natural Linen as a duvet cover, and add a bed skirt of Ashanti to tie your look together. Include some accent pillows covered in either the Danish Oatmeal (FF010 DOT) or Spa Linen (FF045 NAL) for that spa retreat look.
Thank you so much for your questions, and let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Please send pictures when you complete the look, we would love to post them on Style Studio.
Sincerely,
The Style Studio Team

Carla: We are giving you a few choices as an alternative to the Ashanti fabric. We love our Etiene fabric, Salisbury Fabric and our “new” Poppiano Brown fabric. Any of these will blend nicely with our original design. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

like all of this w/ the exception of the Ashanti fabric….I’m redoing my master and love all these colors and would like to find an alternative to the Ashanti but use in the same way…any suggestions? Thank you!

I think when a room is small make it dramatic! I like the suggestion of using the Natural linen for the Camden headboard and the Ashanti fabric for a table skirt. I like having a matelasse on the bed with the duvet folded at the foot of the bed. Like the zebra matelasse coverlet in ecru. You could use the new fabric Charlotte Floral Spa for the bedskirt & duvet. Queen shams in the Spa linen with accent pillows in Ashanti & Dafne for some punch! Maybe on the wall the Blue Reflections Print. If you paint the walls in the SW6470 paint you may want to soften the plantation shutters & put some side panels in ecru. I think your guests will feel relaxed & comfy in your guest room. Good luck
