Dear Style Studio,
I have a design dilemma that has been difficult to solve. For the last few years I have been struggling with the spaces above my mantel and couch. We have 9-foot ceilings. The size of the room is 13-feet-by-23 feet. I have changed the room so many times and nothing seems to work. I would love to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Sheila in Iowa
Dear Sheila,
Thank you for your dilemma. We have a few suggestions to help you with your room.
The first thing is to change out your side tables next to the sofa. We think our Terrific Trio Tables will work well covered in our Samara Spice fabric. You can also add some matching pillows on the couch and make valances for the windows.
Above the sofa try hanging our set of 2 Shorebird Gathering Prints (pictured right) centered on the sofa.
Next we want to focus on the fireplace. Because it juts out into the room, we think painting it Benjamin Moore’s Copper Mountain #AC-12 will help to warm up the area and make it a focal point.
Next, we would love to see our Relief Plaques randomly hung above the fireplace. We do think these changes will make a difference in the look of your room.
Happy Decorating!
