Decorating a Wedding Arch

Dear Style Studio,

I am trying to decorate three arches for a wedding in November 2013. I thought of having a candle chandelier in the middle with drapery on all sides of the arches and either candle lanterns or clear vases with flowers hanging in a staggered pattern on the outer arches.

I also thought of having baby’s breath garland draped across the tops and outer side of the arches with a heart shaped floral wreath on either side.

Please let me know of any ideas you may have…

Thank you!

Hi Kristin,

Decorating for a wedding is such fun! We think your ideas are a great start. When deciding on decorations for the location, consider what foliage will be in bloom beneath the columns so that everything coordinates.

We suggest using the fabric draping idea on all three openings with a crown of wispy greenery across the top. This would provide a beautiful frame for the scenery behind.  We like the idea of hanging a fresh flower heart … try one in each opening.

Something to consider when using candles … if the wedding is in the daytime their beautiful impact will be lost in the natural light.

No matter what direction you finally decide to take with decorations, make everything personal so you will have fantastic memories of your special day!

Congratulations and Happy Decorating!
