Decorating Dilemmas is a weekly column in which our stylists answer your design questions, so you can tackle your home decorating project with complete confidence.

Dear Ballard Designs,

We have a large kitchen and I would like to use a 10.5 x 10.5 space on one end for a breakfast nook.

There is a sliding door to the deck on one side. It is a small space but I would like to make a cozy nook area.

Maybe a couch? I don’t know!

Help!

Dear Jessie,

Thank you for your dilemma.

We love the idea of our 48″ Coventry Seating placed up against the back wall in an L shape.

Covering it in our Timur in Seafoam would be a great choice. Add our Augusta Table in black and our black Constance chairs to go with the sectional.

Behind the sectional facing the sliding glass doors, place our Morgan Double Wide Low Shelving for extra storage.

On the sliding glass doors, hang our Firenze Embroidered Panels for a put together look.

We think these recommendations will help you with your “cozy nook area.”

Happy Decorating!
