3 Creative Uses for Gift Wrapping

Use Holiday ribbon to create a table runner

In preparation for the Holidays, we couldn’t help but see tons of potential in our gift wrap collections. From Suzanne Kasler’s English tartan-inspired paper to our classic burlap ribbon, we love to use wrapping paper and ribbons not just for beautifying gifts under the tree but for sprucing up our Holiday home.

We asked Eden of the blog Sugar and Charm to take some of our favorite gift wrapping items for a spin and show us how she might use these colors and patterns in her home this Christmas.

DIY a serving tray using a frame and gift wrap

1. DIY a Festive Holiday Tray

Using our plaid gift wrap paper and a rustic, wooden tray, Eden created  a tray for her coffee table, perfect for serving champagne and hors d’oeuvres to Holiday guests.

Simply use a thick piece of cardboard layered with a square of gift wrap, cut to size. Carefully place them in the frame under a piece of glass, and you have a perfect spot for placing cocktails or appetizers!

2. Turn Holiday Ribbon into a Woven Table Runner

Eden cleverly weaved together several different coordinating ribbons to create a chic and festive table runner for her dining table.

Topped with pinecones, candles, and old lanterns, we love the way Eden’s table creates a warm, rustic feel for Holiday get-togethers.

To simple white napkins, she added a sprig of rosemary and a reindeer gift tag as a place card!

3. Create a Wall Mobile

Eden wrapped paper into cones and used thread to hang them in a tree formation! We love the playful vibe this creates. Plus, it’s obviously a hit with her son!

She simply used a template, gift wrap paper, and jewelry cord to create and suspend her cones.
