Refresh for Spring with Color

Living room with color accents

We’re fairly certain we speak for everyone when we say spring can’t come soon enough. Who isn’t ready to throw open the doors and breathe in the fresh air? But even if we haven’t yet seen winter’s last frost, we can fake it indoors. Here are our favorite ways to decorate with springtime color in anticipation of the new season.

Color Infusion

Give your room a quickie makeover with an infusion of fresh color. Decorate with various shades of a single color to really pull the look together. Selecting a range of materials, from a ceramic pot to a high/low rug, in the same hue adds dimension and texture. Here, slipcovers in a bright white twill provide the perfect canvas for layering with color.

Splashy Artwork

Art inspires. Express the promise of the new season with an oversized abstract or framed botanicals. Just be sure to look for a springtime palette that features your favorite colors — and you’ll feel instant cheer every time you walk into the room.

Lush Botanicals

Invite the very essence of spring inside with faux botanicals that capture the beauty of the budding season. Fill a vase with a single branch or mix with other flowers for a statement piece blooming with seasonal color.

Fresh bed linens are the perfect way to welcome a new season

Dreamy Bedding

Create a restful sanctuary with the cool colors of spring. Strip away the heavy layers of winter: start with crisp sheets and a lightweight quilt in a garden of pale florals. Sprinkle the color throughout the room to coordinate your look.

Airy, linen drapes feel cheery, just in time for Spring

A Hint of Lavender

Dark velvet drapes in winter make a space more warm and cozy. Store them away and lighten up with linen panels in a pretty pale color. You’ll love the instant lift. Linen moves effortlessly and filters light while providing more privacy than sheers.

Punchy Patterns

Welcome spring with a bang. A burst of bright color — we are in love with coral right now — in a mix of energetic patterns will make any room come alive. There’s no need to shy away from prints. Here, wide stripes, chevron and Ikat get along famously. And our flatwoven dhurrie will feel great underfoot on warmer days.

      Hi Alicia,
We’re so happy to hear that you love these spaces. The first room’s paint color is Benjamin Moore’s Going to the Chapel #1527, and all of the other rooms are Benjamin Moore’s Timid White #OC-39. The color looks somewhat different from room to room based on the amount of light it gets, so we always suggest you test paint swatches on your wall before making your final decision.
      Hope that helps!
