In the pages of our catalog, you’ve probably noticed the tips that we include for design inspiration. From the products we sell to the tips we add to our catalog, our goal is to help you decorate your home inside and out to reflect your unique personality! Today, we thought we’d round up all the fun tips from our Summer 2015 catalog.
Inspired by this room designed by Tish Mills for the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse, we hung our New Blue Art piece over our Fringed Burlap drapery panels to create a lush, dramatic backdrop that feels oh so luxurious!
Create that perfectly collected look by mixing the same chair in two different fabrics. In this dining room, we upholstered two Louis Oval Back Armchairs in Queens Velvet Pumpkin and four Louis Oval Back Side Chairs in Safari Brown. Since the chairs are the same style and finish, the look is collected and eclectic, but still polished.
We love this look that interior designers use all the time — a matching headboard and bedskirt. Did you know you can easily get this look by ordering one of our custom pleated bedskirts in the same fabric as your headboard? Or you can send us your own fabric, and we’ll make you your own bedskirt!
We love the texture and versatility of a natural fiber rug, but in the colder months, it sure is nice to have a plush rug next to the bed to keep your feet warm! That’s why we love the idea of layering a soft wool rug over a natural fiber rug in a runner size, like we did here with our Findlay Hand Tufted Rug.
Our Sunday Porch Swing is as deep as a couch and so comfortable! We love to use it on a front porch where you can read a book or watch the neighbors walk by!
Your closet is one of the first rooms in the home to greet you at the beginning of the day, which is why we like to make it a special place that will start your morning off with confidence and style! The way we see it? Every closet needs a glamorous light fixture like a chandelier!
For large living rooms, place two coffee tables side by side to get just the right size you need! Here, we used two of our Durham Coffee Tables.
Treat your serving pieces like art by displaying them on shelves in your breakfast nook or kitchen. These European Serving Boards are the ultimate blend of style and function.
Expand the seating in your dining room by keeping extra folding chairs on hand, that way you’re always ready for a party!

How do you hang art over drapery? What hardware do you use to layer art over drapery?
Caroline @ How to Decorate
Brenda,
There are a few options, but we suggest hanging the art pieces from fishing line or clear wire from the drapery rod. This does make it impossible to move the drapery panels though.
So glad you like this idea. Best of luck!
