We’re Into: Pom Poms

Decorative trim is like the frosting on top of a delicious cake or the bejeweled necklace that makes the little black dress. It’s that extra flourish in a space that completes the look and adds a sense of personality. Lately, there’s one finishing detail we can’t get enough of, and that’s pom poms. Yes, the soft, fluffy balls once associated with kids’ crafts and hair ties have made their way into fashion and home decor, adorning everything from totes to comforters.

We love the look, because pom poms achieve the same style statement as, say, an animal print. It adds that touch of whimsy that says we don’t take our decorating selves too seriously, yet it manages to do so with sophistication. See, pom poms really are for grown ups.
