Great style is constantly evolving and changing. That’s what makes what we do so much fun. We find joy in building on the looks we love — or reinventing them. The trick is staying open to those possibilities.
As you well know, we love Louis, and our Louis Bed has been a favorite for a long time. Recently, though, we started thinking about the evolution of Louis. What if we took the things we love about this bed and redefined them for a more pared down, yet equally elegant, look? Our design senses immediately started tingling. And this is how our Helena Bedroom Collection was born.
Who doesn’t want a little romance in the bedroom? Helena has curves in all the right places. But without further embellishment or carving, the graceful, gentle swoops make this bed just feminine enough — and anything but fussy.
The classic woven cane of our Louis Bed was translated into a soft raffia weave upholstered over a padded panel for the same warmth and comfort of a fabric covered headboard. Finished to match the frame, the tight, subtle weave gives off just a hint of texture.
Everyone knows good design is in the details, which is why we spent just as much time obsessing over the coordinating pieces, the Chest and Nightstand. Swooped skirts that echo the graceful lines of the bed, teardrop pulls and tapered feet add charming style while slow-close drawers and pullout tray bring everyday convenience to the bedroom.
And because we wanted to get this bedroom suite just right, we took it to the same craftsmen behind our Casa Florentina line. Master artisans in Italy crafted and meticulously hand finished each piece for beautiful results. You can choose between two finishes: a versatile Ice Blue that looks just as great in a modern city condo as it does in a seaside cottage; or Italian Walnut for a more traditional look and feel that works in any interior.
