Winter 2023 Paint Colors

Bedroom from Ballard Designs catalog in Benjamin Moore's Wickham Gray

There’s no better time to refresh your indoor spaces than during the chilly months of Winter when you’re stuck inside and dreaming of Spring. Sky blues and spring greens inspired many of our spaces this season, so it’s no surprise that you’ll find nature inspired tones amongst these rooms. Below we’re sharing all of the paint colors we used in our Winter 2023 catalog.

Please keep in mind that color may vary due to various light conditions, finish and other factors. It’s always a great idea to test a paint sample on your wall first.

Home office with wooden desk and bookcases with Benjamin Moore's Wickham Gray

Wickham Gray #HC-171 by Benjamin Moore

We were inspired by big bold florals this Winter, like our Alora Blue Floral Fabric by the Yard. It has a hand painted pattern, a large scale, and a monochromatic blue color palette that we used as the jumping off point for this entire home office. If you listen to our podcast, you’ve probably heard us talk about juxtaposition — mixing contrasting items together to create personality and interest. Here we’ve done just that — our Tuscan Office Collection in Dark Walnut can feel very masculine, so we added a touch of floral for balance.

To complement the blue tones in our Alora fabric, we chose Benjamin Moore’s Wickham Gray. It’s a clean gray with a subtle blue undertone. It adds a crisp backdrop for our wooden office collection, without feeling too cool.

Exhale #AF-525 by Benjamin Moore

For a beautiful mid-toned blue that provides the perfect backdrop for layers of pattern, we chose Benjamin Moore’s Exhale. We love to use a mid-toned color in a room with white furniture because it really sets these pieces off. Plus, this beautiful blue wall colors helps all of the varying shades of blue in the room blend.

Bedroom with green Palisades Park wall color from Ballard Designs catalog

Palisades Park #439 by Benjamin Moore

If you’re using lots of warm tones in your room, like woven jutes, taupes, and spice, consider bringing in some balance with a cool-toned paint color. Here, we chose Benjamin Moore’s Palisades Park. It echoes the green used in our Anita Pomegranate Fabric by the Yard and provides a sooting setting for a primary or guest bedroom.

Benjamin Moore's Constellation in Ballard Designs bedroom

Constellation #AF-540 by Benjamin Moore

When asked how they want their bedroom to feel, people often say, “like a hotel retreat.” We love the way Benjamin Moore’s Constellation has a relaxing, spa-like tone that keeps the room light, offers a touch of color, and beautifully accents crisp white linens.

I don’t know why there is a place for comments since no one ever responds to questions. I’ve asked the color of a room twice with no response. I don’t even see a comments posted. what a joke!
