Mark off windows and doorways, and remember to measure your doorways to ensure your furniture can fit through the door. Also, consider how you want to arrange the main pieces of furniture around the room’s focal point, such as a fireplace. Create balance with a mix of heavy and light pieces around the room and keep major traffic areas open.
