Cold Master Bedroom

Cold Master BedroomDear Sue,

Thank you for sending pictures of your bedroom. It appears to be a large space with wonderful windows, but we do agree that it could use some brightening up. Our 9-pc Emily Bedding would be a terrific addition to the room. The colors are fresh and the pattern is updated and would make your bed a focal point instead of an afterthought.

The windows in your room are architecturally interesting and should be featured. Single, long panels mounted at each ends – close to the ceiling, hung on natural iron decorative rods, in either Spa Linen or Chocolate Twill would truly frame your windows. Matching panels on either side of the sliders going out to the deck should hang at the same height as the windows. If privacy is an issue, we would like to see natural bamboo roll-up blinds used on the windows. They should be mounted above the windows.

Cold Master BedroomHave you thought about a reading corner to the left of the sliding glass doors? We think either a leather chair and ottoman or maybe our Addison Chair covered in Salisbury fabric with a small side table and lamp would be perfect!

The Craftsman styling truly establishes the ambiance of the room. A few suggestions on art work would be Musa & Palmae Noir Giclees or, for a more contemporary look, Blue Reflections Print would be an appropriate choice.

We hope that our suggestions will help you to achieve the finished look you want. Try the bedding and drapes first, as they will provide the most dramatic change. We want you to feel successful in your choices for your master bedroom and think this is a good place to start. Please send us pictures of your completed room, and let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
The Style Studio Team
