Hello there!
We moved into a brand new home and have had a hard time trying to figure out exactly what to do with our master bedroom. We love the amount of space we have and would love to make the room cozy and romantic. There is also a strange “nook” on one side of the room that is really challenging to figure out. If you have any suggestions, we would love them! Thanks for your help.

Dear Suzanne,
We are happy to give you some suggestions on finishing your bedroom. You are not alone in your dilemma. Putting the finishing touches on a room seems to be one of our most asked questions. Accessorizing takes some time to accomplish a “finished look”. Try to choose pieces that you love rather than fill the space with pieces that you settle for. It does takes time to complete a room so don’t become discouraged.
We suggest a change in the room color, perhaps to a Spa Blue/Green tone. Sherwin Williams has a color called Stream SW6499 that we think will give your room a sophisticated, yet subtle palette and enhance the mahogany tones of your bedroom suite. Our Essential Panels in Off White Quilted would look beautiful on your windows. Another option for your windows is our Elise Panels in Aqua. Try hanging them close to the ceiling for a more luxurious look. Off white bedding with Throw Pillows of Chocolate Twill and Spa Linen would tie the look together. We love the texture of your burlap side table, so no need to change. We did notice however, that the lamp on the end table is too small. Take a look at the Columbia Table Lamp or the Addison Table Lamp on our website. Either lamp would work for you. Our Mirrored Heron Prints would be a nice choice above your headboard. Either 3 or 5 prints hung straight across would look great.
The “odd nook” can be turned into something spectacular. We think our Villaine Floor Mirror in dark antique bronze finish with a Castered Tufted Storage Ottoman covered in Off White Quilted fabric and placed in front of the mirror will complete that corner.
