Dear How to Decorate,
I need your help in putting the finishing touches on my room.
I am considering buying the Chaumont Wine Console (in Provance Wood) for my living room and dining room area. The Console will go behind the sofa, where the map print and shelf are now. I am going to paint the wall behind where the Console will go to a celery green…similar to the green in the mission chair that’s by the fireplace.
What print/prints and what lamps would you suggest I put with the console?
Do you think I should go with the white instead of the wood?
I also need a complementary print for over my fireplace. What would you recommend?
Would you recommend hanging drapery panels on the far side of the windows?
Thanks,
Patty Pence

Dear Patty,
Sounds like you’re off to a great start! The Chaumont Wine Console is a stylish piece and would be perfect for that back wall. Try placing the Large Italian Garden Half Round Plaque (WA450) above it and add two of our Chartes Buffet Lamps (LT667) on either side for a finished look. We would suggest an over sized print above the fireplace. Consider Paris France Café (WT417 – available online) or Shaded Path for a dramatic statement. Hang our Khaki Twill Drapes on the outer edges of your windows to complete this warm, inviting space.
Happy Decorating,
