All of the gorgeous patterns in our 2013 Holiday Gift Wrap Collections, from Suzanne Kasler’s tartan plaids to our classic Document print in wrapping paper form, left us inspired by the idea of mixing holiday patterns in new ways.
We asked Erin of House of Earnest to decorate a space in her home using our gift wrapping papers, and we were delighted by what she came up with — festive pinwheels to adorn your staircase!
Erin mixed together Suzanne Kasler’s Plaid Wrap and another Gift Wrap to create an unexpected combination of colors and forms. She folded the paper to create simple pinwheel forms, and she attached them to her staircase railing with pine branches.
The movement of the pinwheel shapes against the linear form of her banister offers the perfect balance, and we love the way hints of red pop against her taupe wall color.
With a petite marble pedestal table and some framed prints, Erin created a welcoming spot in her front hall.
Thank you so much to Erin for sharing this clever idea with us.
