Suggesting you decorate your space with leopard and magenta sounds a bit intimidating; after all, both of those are quite bold! But for this dining banquette, the final space was actually quite restrained. To do that, we used a creamy white shade on the paneled walls and then brought in lots of accents of blacks, like the Paris Bistro Chairs and the ironwork on the Arturo 8-Light Chandelier.
The Coventry Banquette in our Leo Brown was the exclamation point in the room, but because banquette seats are often blocked by other chairs and a table, you can pick a print that has a little more personality. When you’re working with loud fabricst, consider bringing in art and other pieces that feel impactful but simple. To follow our own advice, we picked our Striped Heart Plaque. Because this piece is a subtle gray color, it doesn’t feel overwhelming, but it’s size makes sure it gets noticed.
Finally, to really bring the space alive, we brought in a bright orchid as well as a throw pillow in our Queens Velvet in Magenta. By bringing in two accessories with the same color, you can introduce a new, bold accent color into the space, while really only investing in a single pillow. Just be sure you pick a pillow that has a BOLD color if you want to make a statement.
