Pillow covers are the hardest working tool in your decorating arsenal. A well placed pillow can ‘pouf!’ give your room a whole new color palette. Not to mention they’re functional, relatively inexpensive compared to most other pieces in your living room or bedroom, and they’re easy to find. But did you know you can order a pillow cover in any of our fabrics? Because of that, it’s simple to get that perfectly coordinated collection of pillows in your home — the ones you usually only see in designer spaces. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite fabrics to help you get a designer look using our custom pillows in some of our beloved fabrics.
Balanced Glamour
We’re loving blush pink right now, especially in the form of Suzanne Kasler’s 13oz Signature Linen, and we especially love it mixed with bold animal print. They have a balanced that’s sweet and spicy, and they work beautifully with other neutrals like gray, black, white, and taupe.
Here, we upholstered our Emerson Sofa in Trilby Basketweave Natural, with 22″ pillows in Suzanne Kasler’s Linen in Blush, 20″ pillows in our Serengeti fabric, and a 12×20″ bolster pillow in Queens Velvet Saddle.
Above the sofa, we hung our Nature’s Plume Art, which blends all of these colors together beautifully.
High Impact Blues
Inspired by artist Kiki Slaughter’s Whirlwind Art quad-tych, we mixed together three bright teal fabrics for a nearly coordinated look that works beautifully with Kiki’s art.
We upholstered our Emerson Sofa in Trilby Basketweave Charcoal, then added 22″ pillows in Harper Teal, two 20″ pillows in Velvet Peacock, and a 12×20 pillow in Brogan Peacock.
Not-So-Boring Neutrals
Neutrals get a bad rap, but we think there’s a way to do them in a fun way! In this space, our sofa is the prettiest camel tweed, and we used the sofa as our jumping off point. We mixed in charcoal gray, an art with grays, browns, and taupes, then topped it all off with one pop of chartreuse and a leopard print bolster pillow.
On this sofa, we used our Coco Tweed in Camel, then added two 22″ pillows in Trilby Basketweave Gray, two 20″ pillows in Queens Velvet Chartreuse, and a 12×20″ pillow in Serengeti leopard print. Above the Emerson sofa, we used our Parisian Wall Art which blends all of these colors together.
