You know what we love about a classic room? No matter what the current trends are or what season it is, you can always give it a few fresh updates without having to reinvent the wheel. That’s what we were envisioning when we designed this living room for our Summer 2016 catalog. A neutral foundation, like our Davenport Sofa and Toulon Chair and Ottoman, is the perfect backdrop for fresh shades of coral and persimmon, art and a statement-making chandelier.
With a versatile shade of greige on the walls (Benjamin Moore’s Coastal Fog), we started with a comfy couch with an easy-to-care for slipcover and an armchair in a classic silhouette. Then we could start bringing in fun pieces like our favorite floral print, Sea of Poppies, and custom pillow covers in coordinating fabrics.
The best part of this room? It can easily be updated on a whim. Bring in a fresh set of throw pillows, swap out the rug, or add an art piece. A room with classic pieces never goes out of style!
