Get the Look: Living Room in Jewel Tones

Jewel toned living room from Ballard Designs Fall 2016 catalog

Every season, we love exploring new color palettes, and for Fall 2016, we were inspired by jewel tones. There’s something about them that just feels so cozy, welcoming, and luxe. And who doesn’t look forward to a little luxury once the colder months come around? Candlelit dinners, fireside chats, cashmere sweaters, and leather boots? Consider us in! And for an evening like that, we think you need to spend it in a room like the jewel toned living room in our Fall 2016 catalog. Get the look below:

This living room is gorgeous! You are so great with mixing and matching different pieces. I want to recreate this look for my house exactly like on the picture, but also I would like to add the tate chair. I am not sure what fabric to choose for the chair. If you could give me an advice, it would be highly appreciated.

      Nataliya,
I’m so happy to hear that you love this living room. We used four velvets in this space, so you could use any of those fabrics for your Tate chair. We used Queens Velvet Leaf, Queens Velvet Emerald, Signature Velvet Deep Teal, and Soho Velvet Lemongrass. If you’re looking for something different, I’d suggest either our Mackenzie Plaid or our Davidson Herringbone Navy. Either of these will be able to stand up to the bold color palette we’ve created here!
      Happy Decorating,
      Caroline

Thank you so much for the great advice, Caroline! My living room is not very big, so I am leaning towards light color like Soho Velvet Lemongrass for the chair. I am very excited about recreating this look.
