Small Ways to Add Color to Your Home

In our minds, we believe you should always have a healthy dose of color around your home. That being said, you don’t need a full room makeover to bring a fresh color palette into your space, as the most impactful design choices are often found in the smallest of intentional details.

In this blog post, we’re sharing our favorite ways to bring small accents of color into your home that will truly transform your space.

1. Find Your Pop of Color

When it comes to color, a little can go a long way to bring newfound energy into a room. In the beautiful blue bedroom above, we layered our goldenrod yellow Maddie Channel Stitched Coverlet into the bedding to break up the color tone and really accentuate the floral elements of the room.

2. A Punch of Pink

Have we mentioned we love pink? There are few colors happier than pink, and we’re bringing magenta, hot pink, and blush into our rooms in large and small ways!

Pink accents feel fresh, unexpected, and perfectly timed for Spring, but the color itself can also work as a timeless full room wall color when complimented with bold blue furniture.

3. Be Bold with Blue

For practicality’s sake, most people would opt for the safe shades of tan or gray for their living room furniture, but it often pays to be bold with blue in small and large ways: Blue goes with anything, and the dark hue will effortlessly hide stains and spills.

4. Find A Classic Color Combination

Navy and red are a classic combination, and we love evoking a nautical theme without being too campy. If you have lots of blue in your home already, considering adding in some bright reds to warm up and bring balance to a room’s cooler color palette.

5. Go for Green

Tropical green and botanical prints are in vogue in a big way. But, even if you aren’t up for going green in a big way on upholstered pieces like our outdoor Amalfi Collection above, consider bringing in some greenery into your home in a small way.

6. Accessories, Accessories, Accessories!

It’s easy to ignore what an impact colorful accessories can have in your home. After all, they’re often small and can go unnoticed in a big room surrounded by other pieces.

Take this dining area, for instance: Most of the furniture is neutral or bold green. However, with a pillows, vases, and drapery panels, the entire space feels more balanced and colorful than ever before.

Most importantly, don’t be afraid to bring color into your room whether it’s in large or small ways. As we hinted throughout this blog post, a little bit of color can go a long way, so be bold!
