Trending: Woven Textures

This post was updated March 2022.

When the weather warms and we start welcoming Spring into our homes, it’s the perfect time to think about making some small seasonal changes to your home. Lately we’ve been really craving those details that remind us of the tropics — bright colors, leaf prints, and woven textures. We love weaving pieces with raffia and rattan accents into our rooms. Just one piece with woven texture can give a room a touch of that island feel, without being too kitschy!

Weave in Woven Lighting

We just can’t get enough of woven lighting. From table lamps to chandeliers, they’re an unexpected material and the perfect complement to any space. If you’re looking for a simple way to introduce rattan lighting into your space, you can never go wrong with a woven shade or a simple little sconce.

Take it Outdoors

Using woven textures outdoors is guaranteed to give you a touch of the tropics, no matter where you live. This Spring, we are excited to add new woven outdoor collection to our current mix of woven outdoor pieces. These playfully striped shapes layer easily with our other outdoor collections: Navio, Cypress, Harbour, and Willow.

Stylish Seating with Durability

We love woven seating pieces because of their style and durability. Whether you have a woven accent chair in your living room or a rattan counter stool in the kitchen, woven pieces provide warmth and style while being extremely family-friendly.

Small Accents with a Big Impact

One of our favorite ways to add in woven textures is with accessories. Layer in woven chargers to your tablescape, store your pillows and throws in a braided basket, or upgrade your bathroom with a matching bath collection. Although these pieces are small, they add just the right amount of texture you need in a room.

      Sandy,
It can be used on upholstered furniture, but only on certain pieces!

I clicked on the Weston Ottoman link in your article, but Natural Woven Sand is not listed among the fabric choices.
How can I access that combination online to customize my piece for viewing before ordering?

      Covemaven,
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It was an accident and is now fixed!
