Holiday Color Trend: Black, White, and Green

Holiday color trend: black, white, and green

Lately we’re loving unexpected bursts of color and it’s no exception post-Thanksgiving, when the holiday color combination of red and green is in full force. While we love traditional colors this time of year, there’s something surprisingly wonderful about forgoing it altogether and opting for a softer, subtler palette. While black and white décor is the peak of chic, the addition of green gives the pair a sophisticated, understated, and polished pop.

We love how unexpectedly festive black, white, and green can be. Here are our favorite ways to use it in your dining room, living room, and even bedroom.

Table It

With all the bustle of the holiday season, something has to feel simple and no-fuss. The classic black, white, and green scheme fits the bill to memorable table making. The dining table can look like a work of art when plates, chargers, placemats, napkins are anchored by black and white, with green highlights through simple ribbon details and rustic elements with an easy addition of earthy color from natural greenery.

Living Green

We’re always looking for new ways to bring a surprising twist on holiday décor and for us, there’s no place that’s more eye-catching than in the living room. Monochromatic does not mean boring, especially when deep charcoal grey walls are a focal point.

Talk about bold: an avocado-hued couch is a sure conversation piece. Paired with daring black and white prints, you cannot go wrong.

Green can also come from a simple potted plant in the corner of a room – understated elegance. We especially love this style as a great equalizer to more adventuresome prints.

Sweet Sleep

Decorating with black and white is timeless in a way that other color combinations are not. When you get down to it, holiday décor doesn’t have to be limited to dining and living areas –indulge in a little holiday cheer right when you wake or deck visiting holiday guests’ bedrooms with an extra festive feel.

We’re considering keeping this décor well into the new year– and maybe, even, up throughout 2019!

LOVE the green! I know blue has been the hot color, especially with the current gray trend but green has always been my favorite accent color of choice! Beautiful!
