May-July 2019 Paint Colors

Living room with bright green walls and white built in bookcases

You could say our inspiration for our summer rooms was citrus-inspired. From lemon yellows to fresh greens, we’re brightening up our spaces with tangy hues fresh from the tropics. See all the colors below.

Because we shoot in real homes, we’re not always at liberty to paint the walls, and in those cases, we’ve chosen paint colors that best match the wall color in the photo. Please be aware that color may vary due to various light conditions, finish and other factors. It’s always a great idea to test a paint sample on your wall first.

Benjamin Moore’s Stem Green #2029-40

Inspired by a tropical green that complements classic navy, we chose Benjamin Moore’s Stem Green. It has yellow undertones which balances cool blues and greens creating a fresh mix that echoes our favorite green fabrics.

Benjamin Moore’s Yellow Tone #370

It’s been a while since we’ve used yellow so generously, but vibrant fabrics and citrus details were on our mind while designing these summer rooms. Yellow Tone is a shade with green undertones and a higher value so it makes both very dark and very light furniture pieces pop. We particularly like it paired with warm wood finishes like we used throughout these spaces.

For a more deeper, luxe look we chose an emerald green. Paired with navy and chinoiserie accents, this color creates a preppier vibe that we love during the summer months.

Benjamin Moore’s White Dove #OC-17

More than any other color, we’re asked about which white paint color to use. There are so many great options, but time and again we come back to White Dove. It has more body and a warm tone that plays well with your whitest whites, tans, wood finishes, and even blacks. It’s a go anywhere color you’ll continue to see in our spaces.

Could you please tell me the paint color used in the June catalog on pages 12 and 13? I remodeling my office and this layout and color scheme is serving as my inspiration. I can’t wait to get the Asher Rug! I’m ordering a sample just to make certain of the tones.

      Rachel,
Unfortunately I don’t have information on the paint. I would suggest showing this picture at the paint store and they can match it for you.
      Best of luck,
      Abbey
