Fall is breezing in, and we can’t wait to add a dash of seasonal color into our homes. Instead of a moody fall color palette, try fresh harvest hues like green, blue, and gray for an unexpected twist. With our fall 2022 paint colors, changing your look is as easy as leaves falling from a tree.
Please be aware that color may vary due to various light conditions, finish, and other factors. It’s always a great idea to test a paint sample on your wall first.
Guilford Green #HC-116 Benjamin Moore
Green is such an underrated fall color in our book, especially lighter shades. Guilford Green resembles a small striped gourd that you’d see at the pumpkin patch. It’s autumnal, but not in your face. For a bit of contrast, style this color with rich green touches— textured pillows and a velvet bench will do the trick.
Buxton Blue #HC-149 Benjamin Moore
Cinderella blue is a magical color around fall time. It makes white furniture dazzle like the headboard and the console table in the images above. Plus, it’s soothing to the eye and brings a feeling of calm to a busy back-to-school season. Paint this color in your bedroom, entryway, or office for some instant charm.
Stone Harbor #2111-50 Benjamin Moore
Next, don’t be spooked by gray. The key to making gray paint look chic is all in the undertones and how you style the room. We love Stone Harbor because it has malleable undertones, so it’s less likely to clash with other components of your space. For a classic look, we used a color palette of gray, white, gold, and blue. Notice how the drapery panels look crisp and the metallic mirror pops.
Palisades Park #439 Benjamin Moore
Finally, Palisades Park is our holy grail green. You’ve probably seen it in several of our catalogs over the years because it’s just so versatile. We suggest this spirited green to freshen up your dining room, bathroom, or office. As far as styling, you can’t go wrong with a bold black light fixture, natural woods, and layers of greenery.

My counter is 34″ from the floor to the bottom of the counter. What height counter stools would you recommend and do you have links to some examples? Thank you.
Caroline McDonald
Hi Nanette,
This post should answer your question about which stool you need: https://www.ballarddesigns.com/howtodecorate/2012/08/how-to-choose-the-right-stools-for-your-kitchen/

Holly
I love the detail and care you take to integrate even the subtle colors into your designs. It’s exciting to see the finished rooms but even your layouts are pretty. Just a request from a dog lover. Your picture is lovely, but could we have a picture of you and your “baby” ( to me they are all babies)
Basset Hound? Our dog kids are so special. Thank you for sharing your creative
