Ideas For Decorating a Mantel

Dear Style Studio,

My mantle should be the focal point of my room, but it doesn’t deliver! I have tried various items on it and all seem either boring, out of proportion or just “okay.” I want “wow!”

I’ve used Ballard items throughout my house but seem to struggle with this area. What can I do?

I also want to extend the look onto the nearby coffee table, which needs a little Spring makeover. Help!

Thanks!!!

Dear Linda,

Spring is the perfect time to pick up a few things to give your living area a fresh look.

The bonus of spring is all the sunshine so let’s start by reflecting more of the natural light into your space.

We suggest hanging our Amiel Arch Antiqued Mirror above your mantel. Changing out different accessories throughout the year will be fun but always leave the mirror in place to highlight your fireplace and mantle.

In front of the mirror, stack the Misty Morning Giclee as your spring artwork.

Load your mantle up with a collection of our Boxwood Topiaries paired with paper-wrapped books in fresh, coordinating colors.

Place an Allegra Pedestal Bowl in the limed finish on your coffee table but remember to tuck little flowering plants inside the bowl for color.

Our Garden Doves nested next to the pedestal bowl are a perfect reflection of spring. For an extra color kick, consider adding a Vine Garden seat around your hearth.

A few carefully placed accessories will have your living area singing for spring in no time!
