Because we shoot in real homes, we are not always at liberty to paint the walls. In those cases, we have chosen paint colors that best match the wall color in the photo. Please be aware that color may vary due to various light conditions, finish and other factors. Therefore, it’s always a great idea to test a paint sample on your wall first. We use Benjamin Moore paint, but most paint stores can match any color.
We’re looking forward to decking the halls this year with our holiday best! From rosy reds to cool, icy blues, we were inspired this season to bring color into our spaces through furniture and accessories, so you’ll notice that most of our rooms are shades of cream and gray. We chose these fresh shades which put the emphasis on our gorgeous furnishings and festive, glimmering decor.

Re:BM Sparkling Wine
I recently moved cross country to Az. Back home, in Midwest I had just painted my living room BM Manchester tan & I LOVED it. I painted my living/dining room here in Az Manchester Tan today & Hate it

Altho I love Grey/ Greige….. it was not what I was looking for in this room as my chairs are in Taupe family, my large wool rug is tan, sage, taupe, rust and my couch is a muted Tan with golden undertones. I’m lost
My hope for this room was TransitionAL Tradition meets Medeterranian & somehow it just totally failed. I see Sparkling Wine posted….. and it looks pretty.
can u help me with understanding what went wrong. Please
Caroline @ How to Decorate
Hi Nikalina,
Paint colors can look drastically different from space to space, and the way the paint looks can depend on a variety of different factors. For example, the direction of the light can change the look of a paint color, if a room gets Northern exposure from the sun, the blues and grays in the paint color will be much stronger making what may have been a warm tan look much muddier and more gray. That’s why it is so essential to test out your paint colors before painting them.
All hope is not lost though! Try picking out some more paint swatches in the paint store and buy small testers of the color. Then paint swatches on your wall and see what you like best! Maybe pick a few swatches that have more yellow and some that aren’t quite as dark as Manchester Tan. Also, talk to the guy at your specialty paint store, he may have some good pointers for you or color suggestions based on what you’re looking for.
We hope you find the right color for your space!

It seems to be exactly what I am looking for!
Thank you!

Hi Kelly,
Did you mean beadboard wall? If so, that color is Benjamin Moore’s Wedgewood Gray #HC-146.

I would like to know what colors they are?
Caroline @ How to Decorate
Hi Cheryl,
Which room in particular are you interested in knowing the colors
cheryl
Both wall and trim color, they are a perfect combo and just what I have been thinking of doing in my living room.

Wonderful, Cheryl! We’re so glad you like it!

Hi. I love the Arctic Shadow paint color and plan on using it in my bedroom !
My headboard is tufted and off white off white and my floors are a medium brown hardwood. What type of bedding would you recommend? Thank you.
Caroline @ How to Decorate
Hi Esther,
Thanks for your comment. Arctic Shadow is such a pretty color, and it sounds like you have a beautiful headboard too!
Our Ava Block Print Bedding is really beautiful, and the gray color will look so pretty in a gray bedroom. We also offer it in a quilted collection which is super soft and cozy!
Another idea is to start with some crisp white basics, and then mix in some patterns seasonally. Our Cassis Matelasse Collection is a great place to start. Start with a quilt and shams and white sheets, then layer on a patterned quilt or duvet. Our Paisley Hand Blocked Quilt would make a great accent in your bedroom, as it has lots of blue-grays and creamy taupe.
Hope that helps!

Would you please advise the wall color in the photo above that shows Aspen Skies on the ceiling? It looks to be a creamy white but not too yellow. Exactly what I’m looking for.
I am in possession of a Benjamin Moore fan deck though no access to Benjamin Moore paint! We’ve relocated to Australia and I’m trying to match my known BJ colors to paint that’s available here. Not easily done!
If any of you know which Dulux or Resene or Wattyl or British Paints color matches Benjamin Moore’s OC-17 White Dove, I’d love to know!
Thank you and I love this How To section of your website. It’s brilliant!
Caroline @ How to Decorate
Hi Deeda,
It’s Benjamin Moore’s Navajo White #947. As always we suggest painting a few swatches on your wall before making your final decision. Depending on the lighting in your room and the furnishings, paint colors can read very differently from space to space.
Best of luck!
