The unique design and finishes were inspired by the bookshelves you see built into the thick plaster walls of Mediterranean villas. Our Malta Bookcase recreates the custom feel in slabs of heavy hardwood hand finished to capture the look of chalk white plaster. Four walnut finish wood shelves are fixed in the frame with exposed notches, as though embedded in plaster. Flush sides allow you to stand several of these tall bookcases side-by-side to create a wall of storage and display in the living room, home office or family room.
